New Life offers the following services to Adoptive Families:Home Study New Life will complete a Home Study for all prospective adoptive families. We do a thorough screening of every family including background and criminal checks before approving them to adopt. We meet and exceed the requirements set forth by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services.
Adoptive Family TrainingAdoption Training is required for all adoptive families. We require attendance at two Adoption Seminars held in May and September. We also require that adoptive families read specific books on adoption and parenting and that they attend CPR and Infant Care classes.
Support ServicesThe adoption staff at New Life has more than 30 years experience in adoption as well as being adoptive parents. We are available by phone or email to offer assistance or referrals for any issues that may arise or to simply offer encouragement during the waiting period.
Post Adoption servicesOur adoption staff has raised adopted children and can offer ongoing counsel and support for any adoption or parenting issues that may arise in a family. We welcome opportunities to talk about helping your child understand adoption as well as discussing concerns related to the child’s medical or developmental issues related to their genetic history or background.
